What is AP?

The AP (Advanced Placement) exam, administered by the College Board, covers a wide variety of subjects, from STEM (Calculus, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, etc), to Social Sciences (Economics, Politics, History, Psychology, etc), Languages and Fine Arts. It serves as an entrance exam that allows high school students to apply for undergraduate programs in universities across the USA, UK, Australia, Canada, Singapore, and other countries. Successful AP results can even replace introductory courses in most college majors.

Benefits of AP Courses:

  1. An advantage during the college admissions processes due to the rigorous nature of the subjects.

  2. By passing Advanced Placement exams, you can earn college credits before even being admitted to a college. This can help you meet your program's credit requirements sooner than others, potentially reducing tuition costs and providing the chance to take additional courses or pursue internships.

  3. Advanced Placement test enhances your grasp of the college-level curriculum.

  4. Since the curriculum and teaching methods in Vietnam high schools differ from those abroad, taking AP exams can help bridge the educational gap between the two systems.
