An Khanh Dao's transformative journey through Centre College, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts, and the University of Denver, where she pursued her Master of Public Policy, has ignited a fiery passion for higher education and an unwavering belief in the transformative power of accessible, quality education. Her experiences at Centre College, majoring in International Studies & Political Science with minors in Economics and Visual Arts, laid the foundation for her commitment to fostering open-mindedness and intellectual curiosity among students. Through her MPP specialization in Sustainable Development and Nutrition Policy at the University of Denver's Josef Korbel School of International Studies, An gained invaluable insights into education's critical role in shaping individuals and societies. - Extensive Teaching Experience at U.S. Universities: taught Economics and guided student research at the University of the South, Berry College, and University at Buffalo.
Dr. Dao specializes in Applied Microeconomics. His research focuses on Urban and Transportation Economics, utilizing empirical choice models common in Applied Industrial Organization. He is passionate about teaching all aspects of Micro Theory and Applied Microeconomics. His preferred courses to teach are Urban Economics, Health Economics, and Applied Econometrics, due to their thoroughness and practical relevance.
Dr. Dao's experience teaching at U.S. universities has provided him with invaluable insights into the American education system. He identifies significant potential to enhance Vietnamese students' prospects for success in the United States by elevating high school preparation to match that of their elite American peers. He is confident that GAEA's innovative approach to college preparation will lead to more frequent success for students in the land of opportunity.
