Welcome to GAEA Academy - The Pathway to Success at Universities in The U.S.!

GAEA Academy was founded by experienced university professors and experts from the U.S., providing in-depth guidance and knowledge for college applications. Our mission is to optimize the academic and career paths of international students through Advanced Placement (AP) courses.

What is AP?

Advanced Placement (AP) courses are college-level classes that challenge students and help them stand out in the college admissions process. Each AP course culminates in a standardized exam, and scoring high on these exams can earn you college credit and advanced placement in college courses! AP exams are administered annually by the College Board, the same organization behind the SAT and TOEFL. AP exams typically take place in early May.

Why should you take AP?

  • Save money: AP credits can waive many general education and major course requirements, saving you between $3,000 and $6,000 per course!

  • Save time: Earning AP credits allows you to graduate earlier, giving you more time for internships and starting your career.

  • Stand out in your college and scholarship applications: Universities highly value students who have taken AP courses, as it demonstrates dedication and readiness for higher education.

  • Prepare for college: AP courses simulate the rigor of college classes, helping you develop critical skills such as time management, analytical thinking, and academic discipline.

  • Explore interests and majors: AP covers various subjects, allowing you to dive deeper into topics you enjoy and explore potential academic or career paths.

  • Develop essential skills: AP helps you hone key skills such as analytical writing, problem-solving, and teamwork, preparing you for college and beyond.

When should you take AP?

Students typically begin taking AP courses from grades 9-12. Although designed for high school students, you can start preparing as early as the last year of middle school!

Recommended English proficiency for AP:

A minimum IELTS score of 6.5 to 7.0 or an equivalent TOEFL score is recommended to effectively participate in AP courses.

How many AP exams should you take?
